Ten Manas Putras (Mind born children) of Brahma & Start of Population!

“Jankie Singh” asked like this:

Hare Krishna. Prabhuji can you give the story about Lord Brahma’s 10 sons. Please please. Thank you.”

REPLY:

Though there are more details about Manas Putras, we need not go deep in to the details because these details are not the condition to go back to Krishna. For the devotees of Krishna, Pure devotion, ie, Surrender is the Most important one as said by Krishna Himself.  So, a Krishna devotee need to know only the basic details about a certain topics.   So, learning the basic details about the Manas Putras is enough for the awareness of the devotees. Instead, Read Bhagavad Gita, Srimad Bhagavatham and Bhakti Rasamruta Sindhu (Nectar of devotion) again and again that will prepare you to go back to Krishna.

When Brahma decided to start the population in the universe, he created four sons called FOUR KUMARAS.

(You can read about Four Kumaras HERE.)

But, they were not interested in increasing progeny and they wanted to lead the life of celebacy following devotional life.

These four Kumaras were the first creations on this universe.

(Why Brahma Vishnu and Shiva are not equal though they are Trimurtis? READ HERE!)

So, Brahma decided to create more children to engage them in progeny.

BRAHMA created TEN MANAS PUTRAS, ie., MIND BORN CHILDREN.

Srimad Bhagavatham states like this:

SB 3.12.21:

“Brahmā, who was empowered by the Supreme Personality of Godhead, thought of generating living entities and begot ten sons for the extension of the generations.”

SB 3.12.22:
