Is devotional life meant for the Failed & Incapable persons to face the life?

A girl devotee asked like this requesting anonymity:

“I am failing in my efforts in studies, job.  why. krishna said leave everything to me, n when we get tired or trying n leave all to kanhaa, then people say dat we r failed n lazy dats y we r only dependent on god, wat should we do at dat tym. desperately waiting.”

REPLY:

This is the frustration that occurs when we do not have a clear goal in our life.  When the situation is not favourable to us, we feel low.  This is because we always expect only positive happenings in life.  So, we lose our strength to fight in life whenever we face negatives.

In fact, Krishna gives problems to us to make us equipped with the fighting spirit to face even the severe problems of life in future.

(What is Karma Yoga? Will it reduce our Initiative for not expecting results? READ HERE!)

Life on this earth is a continuous fight with so many barriers put by our karma network and also by maya.  Some of our efforts succeed;  Other efforts may fail to offer the expected results.

That is why Krishna wanted us to just WORK EFFECTIVELY LEAVING THE RESULTS TO HIM.  Not just casual work, but EFFECTIVE work.

Whatever we do, we have to do with a well devised plan.

If we study, we have to plan the syllabus well and devote sufficient time for studies and then study with a hope that we will get the results as planned by Ourselves as per our Past karma, but mercifully moderated by Krishna.  Understand the type/ pattern of exams well and prepare accordingly.  We should not fix our mindset to become like THIS or THAT.  Just select the right and suitable course and study well. If we do not show interest in actions, we will not be given good results by Krishna.

If a farmer just plants the seeds in a dry land telling that he is doing his duty and expects good harvest, how can he get?  So, a farmer has to understand his soil well by testing in ‘soil testing labs’ run by the government to find out which nutrient it is lacking and then offer suitable manures and fertilizers.  Before planting, he has to prepare the soil well supplying sufficient water and manures.  Then he has to plant suitable seeds and maintain the optimum conditions for the growth of the plants.  Only then he can get good harvest.

Similarly, we too have to prepare the ground for every activity.

For studies, we need proper preparations.

For starting a business, we need a proper analysis of market and then planning accordingly. If we start selling rain coats during summer, how can we sell it?  If we sell Air coolers in the coolest town in which all 365 days are filled with snow fall, how can we sell?

So, we have to choose and plan for suitable business.

If we try for job, we have to analyse our inner talents and priorities and then plan for which job we have to try.  And, we have also to learn how to face the selection tests and interviews.  Then, we can succeed in getting a good job.

So, Krishna never says to work casually. He wants us to work effectively that means, after good planning.  Even in the war field, before starting the war, Arjuna had to analyse the strengths of enemies and their field plans.  Only then, he can attack the enemies effectively and win the war.  The first chapter of Bhagavad Gita speaks about these preparations.

So, you need to have a strong determination to win and then plan well.  Then, success is yours.

What you have to do now?

Identify your strengths/ weaknesses, and priorities.  Do not compare with friends. They have different priorities and capacities.  You should plan according to your own analysis.  Then, you can succeed in your goal.

You have said that the devotional life is meant for the Failed & Incapable persons to face the life.

As far as the comments of others about your worship of Krishna is concerned, they are ignorant and you are intelligent to trust Krishna.  YOU HAVE A STRONG HOLD – KRISHNA WITH YOU.  THEY DO NOT HAVE ANY HOLD.

Duryodhana wanted the army of Krishna. But, Arjuna preferred Krishna Himself to be with him and fought the war decisively.

Who won?

(Karma Yoga, Gnana Yoga and Bhakti Yoga -Which is the best one to follow? READ HERE!)

Only Arjuna who had Krishna with him and acted as instructed by Krishna won.

One may not know the great taste of Halwa until he tastes it.  Similarly, These people may speak so until they too taste the greatness of the devotion to Krishna. Once they taste it, they too will engage in Krishna’s Service.

Similarly, you too can win if you keep Krishna with you and also put your best efforts.  So, proceed with your trust on Krishna without caring the views of others.

Let them work for them successfully and get births again and again.  You too work for Krishna successfully, be under the shield of Krishna and get a permanent life with Krishna.

So, it is not true that the devotional life meant for the Failed & Incapable persons.
