WHY KRISHNA DOES NOT STOP THE DEATH OF DEAR ONES OF THE DEVOTEES? – PART-1
Today, I am replying two questions from two devotees on the death of their dear ones:
(1) ON THE DEATH OF A CHILDHOOD FRIEND IN HIS AGE 18:
A woman devotee who requested anonymity asked like this:
“Greetings sir! I have been following your post and i’m thank ful too. Could you help me out in this? My childhood friend passed away this monday. He met with an accident and he is 18yrs old.. this incident has created a deep impact among us(myself and my friends). he is such a nice friend and good soul… we never expected, this would happen to a boy like him…”why he want to leave this world so early?” this might sound silly but can you tell me “where is he, now?” is this incident anyway connected to karma? what would have been the reason for his death? could you please explain me in detail? And sir, it would be better if you are not gonna mention my name. will be waiting for your reply sir….”

There is no connection between character and life time. Both good and Bad people die earlier (or) live longer. It is their individual karma.
Tell me who is staying in this world eternally? Some live for 100 years; some for 80 years; some for 50 years; Some die even in his young age of say 20-25; Some die even within months or days after taking birth; Now a days, some children die even within the womb through abortion or naturally.
When my father left me when I was just 14, I thought: “Today my father; Tomorrow Me”. So, I did not shed tears when my father died. Of course, we had taken care of him with love and respect when he was alive. So, we need not cry when he left.
So, death is natural. No one can escape from it. Our body is made up of five material elements – earth, water, air, fire and ether. All these five elements are temporary. The athma (We) live in this body till it is possible. Once it becomes not possible to love, we leave our body and take another one.
There may be various reasons for us to leave this body. This REASON & TIME OF LEAVING is fixed by our past karma.
(i) If a person had been the cause for the earlier death of any person (like torturing) in his previous births, he dies in an early age in this birth.
(ii) If he had done no good for anyone and had been cause for the earlier death of any person in his previous births, he lives a struggled life till he dies in early age.
(iii) If he had done many good deeds and had also stood as a cause for early death of a person in his previous births, he lives a comfortable and pious life, but, dies in young age.
(iv) If a person aborts children unnecessarily, he too will be killed within womb in his next birth or die in childish age itself.
So, a person’s life time depends on his activities in his previous births. Your friend might have been a nice guy in this birth. But, we do not know about our previous births. So, he has died in early age. If he had lived a good life in this birth, he will have a long life in his next birth.
Many celebrities have died in their young age. Their money and fame could not stop their death.
Eg: Michael Jackson (50 yrs), Bruce Lee (32 yrs), Princess Diana (36 yrs), Jim Morrison (27 yrs), Martin Luther King Jr (39 yrs), Marilyn Monroe (36 yrs).
Thus, though these people were very popular and were rich in wealth, such popularity and wealth could not save their demise.
Among spiritual personalities, we know that Many spiritual scholars like Swami Vivekanandha died in his very young age.
So, stop worrying. His time is over. Next, think about how to utilize your remaining life time usefully and meaningfully! Let us not waste our life time in just material activities. So, let us involve in Krishna Consciousness seriously and get relieved from this material birth-death cycle.
After that, there will be no lamentations as we will not exist in these material worlds at all.
We can’t predict how tomorrow will be. So, make use of TODAY for going close to Krishna.
(2) ON THE DEATH OF MOTHER:
A devotee (Name hidden) asked like this:
“i have one serious doubt which is going on my mind, you only have to clear that.. am a devotee of lord krishna. one day my mom was in very serious condition she admitted in hospital..i had prayed to krishna please save my mom from this situation ..but unfortunately my mom was died ..why krishna did not save my mom.. if he think means he can able to save my mom but he did not , i cannot tolerate this …our family is in full of sadness ..no peace in our family …why he did not save my mom?? i think he may be happy now of seeing my struggle in my life…i lost faith in him… you only have to say me answer for my problem….if the karma is going to happen no one change means then what is the purpose of worshiping god…pls dnt mistake me for asking like this bcz that much am struggling now..i am waiting for your kind reply..”

Everyone of us have to leave this world one day. No one has any document that permits him to live on earth without death.
Some persons leave after leading full life – say till 90-100. Some live up to 60-70. Some up to 40-50.. Some die in teen age. Some get balarishta, ie, childhood death.
However, death is imminent for all. We are not going to live here for ever.
Since everyone will leave either earlier or later, we should not develop attachment even with our parents. Just love them and do your duties meant for parents perfectly and keep them happy till they live here. There will be no use in crying after their death. Keep them as happy as possible when they are alive. This alone can be done by you.
Can we love others without attachment?
Possible. Show your love considering that they too are the children of Krishna. At the same time, keep in mind that they are not going to be with us permanently. They may part us at any time because of either misunderstanding or death.
That’s all. The problem arises only when we consider that all people should live till 100. No chance for that.
And, unless it is seriously necessary, Krishna does not interfere in the performance of karma network by extending the life time of people though He can do.
So, do understand the nature of this worldly life. Of course, the death of your mom will be painful for you, but, it is unavoidable.
Everyone of us will be leaving like your mother though the dates and timings are different for everyone.
Believe that everyone has to face some challenges in life.
Last year, I was posting for this preaching service sitting near the dead body of my mother. Why?
Because, she was facing her karma. We, the children are helping her by doing our duty. Because, I consider my mother as a temporary relation and hence I stop just supporting her through my duty with love as a son. I have committed giving encouragement for the devotees as sincerely as possible. So, I was typing even on that day.
You too follow my approach. You will accept meetings and partings as inevitable and as per karma.
Let your mother rests in peace.
