Does Krishna exist or not? If yes, Why is He watching us suffer?

Does Krishna exist or not? If yes, Why is He watching us suffer?

A Female devotee who requested anonymity asked like this:

“I sometimes feel krishna never listens and he just wants us to do his worship and chant his name he is so selfish. It is better to worship demigods bcoz krishna just wants us to take his name and do nothing for his devotees and just sit and watgh them cry and suffer no matter how much devotional service u do or how much u rem him.

Although he says in gita those who remember me i m their friend and i think its all just to make people do his service but in the end what we get is sufferings n pain n he will just sit there n watch us crying and enjoying bcoz he doesn’t care sorry to say that but one recent exp has made me hate him and i don’t think i can ever rem him again as even after remember him when i use to wake up at night he just trashed me i never did any harm to anyone i always do lot of charity and this is what i get how can one believe in god under such situation.

I don”t feel his presence in this yuga. If he wants us to rem him he should atleast show his presence some how else no one will be ever be able to b in him.   We have our mind and logic and we cant accept something if it doesn’t. Show his presence as we r not fools.

Sorry if i offended u.    Do not disclose my name”

REPLY:

This feeling that Krishna does not exist seem to have come to you out of frustration.  Still you are wrong as you are not a child, but a grown up girl and you should not speak like this.

Actually, The same Krishna is feeding and giving space to live even for atheists. Since the life of the people is controlled by their own karma in this material planet, the people are made to think like that whenever they face their own karmic reactions.

But, only those who accept the fact that all our life events are the results of our own karma and continue to have full faith in Krishna can get all the special benefits and special mercy from Krishna.

(IS KRISHNA TRUE? DOES KRISHNA EXIST? HOW TO AVOID DOUBTS? READ HERE!)

The  best example is Srila Prabhupada, the founder of ISKCON. When he traveled to America, he suffered two  heart attacks. Usually, most of the persons may survive only until 3 heart attacks.  However, Srila Prabhupada did not get angry on Krishna as he faced two heart attacks while he was travelling to U.S to preach Krishna Consciousness.  He could have thought that there is no Krishna at all because he faced heart attacks though he he was travelling to preach His name only.

However, Srila Prabhupada continued his journey and faced still more hurdles during his tenure in America, and then finally, Krishna gave him an outstanding success in his mission of preaching. Now, his name is spoken in all the continents in this world.

(I stopped trusting Krishna because of problems. How to regain my faith in Krishna? READ HERE!)

So, if you accept Krishna only for getting any benefits, you will forget him in two ways:

(1) After getting benefits from Lord, you may forget him.

(2) If the desired benefits are not fulfilled, you may again forget him out of frustration and non-belief thinking that Krishna does not exist.

But, most of the people are in the stage of the Starting level of devotion of expecting benefits for their prayers and then feeling that Krishna does not exist if their prayers are not answered immediately.  Only a small percentage of devotees serve Krishna selflessly with no expectations as emphasized by our site without compromising from the highest standard.

Even in the sathsanghas and temples, some devotees support the sathsanghas or temples till they get some benefits and then stop abruptly.  Every devotee would think that every temple or sathsangha will be getting lakhs or crores of money from thousands of people and hence there is no need for all the devotees should support.

As a result, only a few will help them consistently. They won’t bother what the temples or sathsanghas will do if everyone thinks like that and stoppporting. However, in reality, managing the finances involved in the services or temples is difficult as there will be fluctuations in the receipts, but the expenses will be only in the rising trend.

Only one to two percent of the people are philanthropists in any society or temple or sathsangha.  Every temple or sathsangha runs only with the support of these 1-2% of philanthropists.

In general, the people think everything in their own angle and they never understand the pains and problems of others who are working for common cause.  That is why, many Vishnu or Siva temples are suffering without funds that I have seen personally and as heard from the temple managers themselves.

In my state, even out of 108 divya desams (Vishnu temples), many temples struggle to pay even the salary to the priests.  Out of thousands of temples in India, Only a few temples that project material benefits to the people ‘in return to the donations’ are flourishing with funds. If a temple advertise that a donor will get 100 times more than what they donate, the temple will flourish like anything.

This is the trend of kaliyuga as many people expect some returns or atleast to receive some honours like printing their names on sign boards for their donation. They may donate a ‘tube light’ that would have been printed with their name prominently.

In this scenario, only a minimum percentage of people support the selfless devotional services without any expectations. Krishna rewards them with the advancement in devotion to Himself.

(My desires never get fulfilled in life. Why it is so? READ HERE!)

That is why, Our  acharyas said not to expect any benefits from the lord if one likes to advance in pure devotion..  Though prayers are also permitted during initial stage, the topmost level of devotion is to love Krishna without any expectations but, His mercy, services and love only.

Krishna has given perfect body for us to work and earn. So, we can work.  If we face any problems, the Lord has given good brain to evaluate your problems and find a solution for it.  If all our attempts fail, we can pray to the Lord to give us more capacity to solve that problem.  So, this kind of selfless devotion will never give disappointments for the devotees.

And, a matured Krishna devotee takes whatever happens in his life as  the blessings of the lord.  Though any negative incident happens for him, he thinks that Krishna has done this for some reasons that will do good for us at the end.  So, that devotee has no disappointments and doubt whether Krishna exist or not.

Most importantly, what qualification we have to see Krishna? Is Krishna that much local to be seen near your bed when you wake up?  Srila Prabhupada said in his ISOPANISHAD lectures that Krishna should not be treated like an ordinary person and we need certain qualifications to associate with Krishna.

The important qualification is UNSHAKABLE FAITH IN KRISHNA though we are facing continuous problems in life.  We would have done so many serious offences and crimes in our previous lives.  So, in this birth, we are in a position to face their reaction.  So, we face the problems. Without understanding this, if we scold Krishna, it shows our ignorance.

(Why Krishna gives more problems to His devotees, but helping many non devotees? READ HERE!)

The Lord has given this rare human  body and also some freedom to choose our way of life.  So, if we had misused that freedom in our past births and did many sinful acts, how can we blame the Lord for problems in this birth?

Is Krishna your servant maid to come and stand in front of you whenever you call Him?  Have you evaluated whether you have qualification to see Krishna?

Do you know when Krishna puts Himself under the control of his devotees?  He comes down and comes to us, only when we have unshakable faith and love for Him, without any material attachments.

Even when Draupati faced serious crisis to her purity in the court of Duryodhana,  Krishna did not help her immediately.  She called all her kiths and kins one by one and tried her own efforts to save herself.  Krishna was waiting for her SURRENDER.  So, when she gave up all the hopes and decided that only Krishna can save her,  she folded her hands and called Krishna in a surrendered state.  Krishna then came to her rescue.

So, if Krishna should come whenever you need, you need to surrender to Him. When the surrender will come?  Only when we have full faith in Him.  When a wife and husband can love each other?  Only when they surrender their ego of “I” and live for the opponent.  Wife lives for husband and husband lives for wife.  So, love.

(How to Feel the Presence of Krishna from these creations? READ HERE!)

Same applies here.  If you surrender your ego of “I” and remain fully surrendered to Krishna, He will never let you down.  This personal protection of Lord will not be available for non-devotees and those who doubt Krishna.

I hope that you have now understood that you do not have SURRENDER in your devotion to Krishna.  That is why, you expect Krishna to come to you in person though you are still proud about your capacity.

Though Krishna comes in person to you, you can not FEEL His greatness and you will raise doubtful questions to Him and start to test Him. So, unless you believe Krishna, you can not get the personal  protection of Krishna.  The general benefits like bread and butter based on your karma will be given by Lord, not His personal protections.

So, first give up your ego and surrender to the Lord wholeheartedly and just remain as an instrument in the hands of Lord.  Now, you can realize the presence of Lord in you.

I have faced serious crises in life, but,  I never distrusted Lord. However, the Lord is blessing me with His mercy and is giving a “balanced” knowledge and required inputs to serve Him.  This is possible because, I never doubt Him.  I thank Him even when I face negatives in life as I take it as if He is purifying me.

Always keep this in mind:  We only are the cause for all our sufferings. Not Krishna.  Our every action is recorded in our karma account and we are given reactions stage by stage in every birth.

Though we onl;y added our own karma, we do not like to face their reactions, but blame Krishna with the doubt whether Krishna exists.

So, Krishna is ready to embrace you.  But, you must keep your heart with pure selfless love for Krishna to be associated with Lord personally.

Hope you are clear that doubting whether Krishna exist or not is unnecessary.
