I am unable to wake up early in the morning and unable to focus on studies. What to do?

WAKING UP EARLY IN THE MORNING
It is recommended by acharyas and sastras that one should wake up and perform spiritual saadhanas in the Brahma Muhurtha time, (OR) atleast between 4.30 and 5 am.
It is not hard to wake up in Brahma Muhurtha time IF YOU GO TO BED BEFORE 10 PM. A normal adult needs just 6 hours of sound sleep at nights. So, if you like to make your spiritual saadhanas effective, wake up atleast at 4-4.30 am. Then, brush, wash yr face and start chanting.
During Brahma Muhurtha, your concentration will be better as you will be free from unwanted thoughts. And, it is the time in which your Satva Guna is dominating.
So, have a vyragya. Go to bed early. Then, it will be easy for you to wake up earlier.
Without vyragya or resolution, you can’t do anything.
FOCUSING MIND ON STUDIES
Focus on education comes only when we know how needy the education for us. It may be material education that does not help us to advance in self and god realization, but, it helps to maintain our day to day material life and to follow devotion comfortably from home. So, we should give attention for studies also.
It seems that your friend does not have a clear objective in life and he does not realize the seriousness of this material life. So, let me write why he should study seriously. Then, he will start to focus on studies.
This material world is highly competitive and if you remain silently, others will overtake you and take your position.
The first 20 years in one’s life is very crucial. If you spend these 20 years responsibly and if you study well, you can lead the rest of the 80 years of your life comfortably. If you waste this first 20 years, you will lag behind in the education market and job market and you will feel for the entire life without sufficient earning in spite of spiralling cost of our daily life.
When I was studying 7th or 8th standard, one of our family friend bought a 2400 Sq.feet land for Rs.20000. Now, he has sold the same land for Rs.50 lakhs. 250 times more. In Tamilnadu, the cost of a SINGLE LOAD of sand for constructing buildings was just Rs.1000 – 2000 5 years ago. Now, it is Rs. 25,000-40,000 per single lorry load. So, you will need money if you like to get a home for you. Same applies for other expenditures. The cost of grains, vegetables, oils, etc are shooting up periodically and inflation is going up.
So, ordinary people can’t live on this earth hereafter unless they depend on others for donation or help. If they like to live without any cost, they have to go and settle in forests, live in caves and eat the fruits and vegetables from forest trees. No other way.
So, if you are not working but just sitting telling Krishna, Radha, God, happiness, sorrows, betrayals, etc, he will be pushed to the corner of this planet. Speak and practice about Krishna and also work hard. Lord will extend His blessings only for those who put their efforts. Krishna says in Gita that those who abandon their duties can’t even maintain their bodies.
Srila Prabhupada, the founder of ISKCON worked hard for Krishna even in his eighties in spite of repeated heart attacks. So, krishna blessed him and hence, now, he is in the hearts of devotees. So, Krishna blesses only those who put their efforts. No doubt in it. This world is not for those who are sitting idle without taking efforts. Atleast work materially for studying or earning. Or, work spiritually for Krishna in temples. Or, do your material duties thinking of Krishna making it spiritual. If you do not do all these three things, you are wasting your life.
I was working in a big nationwide popular company in management cadre comfortably and was earning very well. I was like a child in Krishna Consciousness then. I had time to rest then. But, I started my own venture one day. This was the wrong decision I took in my life. I was earning like the earning I got in my old job, but, I lost my peace of mind as I have no time to rest and I have to put hard efforts to maintain the brand image. Now I feel that I could have remained as an employee itself in a big company instead of running our own brand that takes more time. I would have got more time for K.C saadhanas had I been working in that big company. Money could not make me comfortable, and I lost rest. If I had been matured in K.C as I am now, I would not have started my own company, because, own ventures are not better suitable for doing K.C as we have to devote more time for work. Now, I am reading K.C books in the middle of my work whenever I get a gap of 10 minutes or 20 minutes. You can earn unlimitedly in own ventures, but, your peace will be limited. It happened to me also. I am even thinking of selling my company for a good sum when I attain my age of 55 and devote fully for K.C.
Why I have written this now? Because, our life is turned happy or painful BASED ON THE DECISIONS WE TAKE FROM TIME TO TIME. That is why, I have been writing here to all of you to study and work well and earn well and marry in early age and simultaneously perform K.C seriously. If you take wrong decisions in life, you too have to suffer in life like I suffered by taking wrong decisions in life. Only based on my experiences, I have been counselling all of you. Whatever advice I give you, I suffered in most of them in my life. Then, I dealt with them seriously and came out successfully as I was simultaneously sincere in K.C and Lord had given sufficient strength for me to face them and succeed in them.
So, from today, take only right decisions and start to read well, go to good work and practice devotion to Krishna simultaneoulsy. Your life will be meaningful.
If you know the seriousness of this material life, you will automatically start to read seriously.
