REPLY:

Stopping working to avoid new karma is impossible .

Though you prefer not to involve in activities, the karma network will force you to work.

Karma is very powerful than our mind that makes decisions.

Therefore, we will definitely decide as per the silent and powerful directions of our karma.

Even a leaf moves because of destiny.  Even a particular grain of rice or wheat comes to us only if destined so.

If you remain without doing any work, someone will come to you and make you work and you too will work unable to refuse that.

When I was working in a popular nationwide company, I had convinced myself that I should settle with that company that paid good pay and honours.

But, because of the internal politics between the managers, we, the newly joined executives were severely affected. When our boss was on long leave for 2 months, we were told by the rival manager that the company is not willing to retain the newly joined executives.

This was a lie that we did not know that the rival manager is spreading this fake news to make us leave the company and make the hands of our boss weak.

Believing his words, and getting fed up with the trends in the company,  we (about 8 newly joined executives) decided to leave that company.

Here, my karma played its trick.  It made me think “Why should we work for others and face such nasty politics?  Why can’t we start our own?”

As per my horoscope, I should never run own business.  Since I had not learnt astrology at that time, then, I started a new company and was caught by severe loan and lost my good sleep.

Pressures were increasing beyond the tolerance. By that time, I had come into the contact of ISKCON devotees and hence, my approaches changed in dealing with the situations.  I had stopped praying for anything to the Lord and was following all the recommendations of devotional practices.

Seeing my consistent services and patience, Krishna entered into action and sent the big customers and supporters with whose support, I cleared all my heavy loans within 2+ years.

Thus, though I had decided to settle in my company as an executive, my karma of “suffering with loans” forced me to leave that company and start my own.

Had I not believed the lies of that rival manager, I would have worked there itself earning a big purse.  It was my karma that used that manager to divert us and made me to believe the lies of that rival manager.

However, we can stop being affected by such karmic reactions as I did by following Krishna Conscious practices seriously and developing detachment with money and other material belongings.  Now, Krishna has taken my desires on material fame.  I am like a machine or doll now in the hands of Krishna.

This is my reply for you and all about karma’s power and the outpowering capacity of Krishna who is the only person who can suspend  our karma.

This example proves that though you do not like, karma will force its effects upon you.

If you totally desert your desires, you can escape from the pressures of karma.  For example, had I not decided to become an owner of a company, I would have escaped from the loans.  But, my karma made me desire for that.  So, I faced those reactions.

ONLY THE DESIRES ARE THE CAUSE FOR THE KARMA! NOTHING ELSE!

Stop desires;  Karma has no business with you.

Hope you are now clear about stopping working to avoid new karma.
