NAVADVIPA MAHIMA – STORY

NAVADVIPA MAHIMA – STORY

(By HH Jayapatākā Swami, 26 Aug 2020, Māyāpur)

One day Rādhārāṇī was playing on the flute.

And Kṛṣṇa was wondering who is playing the flute so sweetly?

He came to Navadvīpa dhāma and saw that Rādhārāṇī was playing the flute.

Rādhārāṇī has made Navadvīpa dhāma as an offering to Kṛṣṇa.

So Kṛṣṇa accepted that and said:

“You have created a beautiful abode! This will be non-different from Vṛndāvana. And all the holy places will come here.”

So, that is why Rādhārāṇī is also special for us, because She is the creator of Navadvīpa dhāma. So we all want Her blessings.

Śrīla Prabhupāda said that, “If She says to Kṛṣṇa that this is a good devotee, give him mercy. Then certainly Kṛṣṇa will do whatever Rādhārāṇī says.”

Someone was asking Śrīla Prabhupāda, “Kṛṣṇa makes us fast till midnight and Rādhārāṇī only till midday – why?”

Śrīla Prabhupāda said that, “Well, Rādhārāṇī is more merciful!”

This sweet incident shows the Navadvipa Mahima.

HOW TO HAVE SUCCESS IN YOUR BHAJANA?

(by Srila Bhaktivinoda Thakura from Bhajana Rahasya)

– Whether my attachments to household life are destroyed or they are increased,

– Whether my bhajan is full of obstacles,

– or if I go to hell because of offenses, I will accept it all;

– but I will never give up devotion to Śri Kṛṣṇa, even if Brahma himself tells me to do so.

A person who performs his bhajana with such staunch faith (shraddha) will certainly be successful.
