THINKING KRISHNA AT THE TIME OF DEATH TO GO BACK TO HIM!

THINKING KRISHNA AT THE TIME OF DEATH TO GO BACK TO HIM!

A GIRL DEVOTEE ASKED LIKE THIS:

“Hare Krishna Prabhu ji. Krishna ji says in Gita that those who die thinking of him will come to him. My question is, how to think him at the time of death? what is the procedure? please clarify.”

REPLY:

There is no mechanical procedure for that.  It should be a natural reformation in your consciousness from material consciousness to Krishna Consciousness.

Let me explain why and how?

If we leave this body chanting the name of Lord, we will not take next birth, and we will go back to Krishna Himself.  This is true.

Here comes a question.  You  may tell like this:  “I will utter the Lord’s name at the time of death.  Why should I chant His name unnecessarily throughout my life wasting time?”

But, the problem is, at the time of death, we will think only about a certain thing that has dominated in our whole life.

For example, if we are addicted to liquor, at the time of death, we will definitely think: “Oh, I am unable to have some liquor now.  Can anybody give me some liquor?”.

If we are addicted to wealth making alone throughout our life, at the time of death, we will think: “Oh, I have earned crores of rupees.  Suddenly, I became inactive and I am unable to breathe.  If I die suddenly, who will take all this wealth? Will they maintain it properly? Oh, what can I do now?

If we are addicted to illicit sex throughout our life, at the time of death, we will think: “Oh, I need a girl now.  But, so many people are surrounding me.  I too am unable to move. What can I do?”

Thus, at the time of death, you will think only that thing for which you had given preference throughout your life.

In this context, you can chant the name of Lord at the time of leaving this body, only if you have been chanting His name throughout your life.

Even when your leg slips, you must tell  KRISHNA, not, “ALAS”.  You must give priority only to Krishna throughout your life, if you like to think of Krishna at the time of death.

(How to know whether we have taken many births or just fallen from Goloka? READ HERE!)

Because, as per scriptures, at the time of death, ie, while the soul leaves the body, we will feel the pain of the bite of 1000s of poisonous scorpions. When you are feeling that much of pain, you must call KRISHNA, not  ALAS.

So, make Krishna as your breath.  Start chanting Hare Krishna as many times as possible daily.

During other times of the day, remain in the thoughts of Krishna and perform your assigned duties thinking of Krishna.

And, you should see Krishna in everyone and everything.  You should always be immersed in the thoughts of Lord.

Krishna must be the center and priority in your life.

When you have attained this stage of Prema on Krishna, you would have got relieved from material attachments and you will be filled with Krishna’s thoughts only.

If you do so,  thinking Krishna at the time of death and after that, you need not take another birth and can go back to Krishna’s world.

Hope this reply has cleared your doubts.  Hare Krishna.
