If divorce is fixed by karma, what is the use of seeing horoscopes?

“Hare Krishna, dandawat Pranam, All Glories to Srila prabhupada..I am sorry. there are so many questions that arise in my mind and at that time I can only remember you. Because your counseling is so clear and help in advancing Kc.
if according to astrology, if a person has divorce in her kundali, then why we match horsoscope before marraiges. if divorce is already there, then with whom ever we marry divorce will happen. So why match. And after divorce people, tell that y u didn’t match horoscope. if u would have matched then divorce wouldn’t have taken place.. So what is it? Sorry for mistakes..”
REPLY:
This question may appear in the mind of every person. Actually, I have to reveal a secret here.
What is it?
(1) Only if you have the blessings of the Lord, you will see horoscope before marriage and avoid wrong grooms/ brides. If the Lord likes to save a devotee, he may even send him to a good astrologer. If the devotee is not genuine and hence if his karma need not be cleared, he does not get a good astrologer. So, he may avoid checking the horoscopes or go to a wrong astrologer.

We know if the Lord likes to help any of His genuine devotee, He performs that help through another person only. When I was struggling with loans during my initial period in my company and when I was in need of around 4.4 lakhs immediately to clear a part of my loan, Lord Krishna sent a person who did a business deal and paid Rs.5 lakhs. I cleared the serious and urgent loans using that money.
Thus, the Lord does not throw the helps from the sky. He helps through some persons. These subtle assiatance is possible only for the devotees of the Lord. Others are not covered by this personal help from the Lord, though the Lord feeds them the bread and butter to live. Special mercy is available only for the devotees.
Similarly, if a girl/ boy is a sincere devotee of the Lord, and if she/ he has the karma of suffering in marriage, the Lord makes her/ him to go to an astrologer who warns of these things. So, that devotee can either avoid marriage or make her/ his heart prepared to face the challenges in her/ his marriage life and seriously involve in the Lord’s service. Or, the Lord gives them strength to face the problems of marriage life.

You may ask: Why even some devotees suffer? Yes… Though they suffer, the Lord additionally gives them strength and ways to face those sufferings. This strengthening actions are done only for the devotees (or) for those who have so many good karma also in their past births in addition to bad karma.
(2) Another reason to see horoscopes before marriage is that you can prepare your mind well to face any challenges in future. As I have already written in this site, my father had exactly predicted his date of his death (leaving his body). He said that he will not be available after a particular ekadasi. As predicted by him, he died in the morning on an ekadasi.
Though he had known his date of death, he never felt for that, as he believed that all of us are the puppets in the hands of the Lord and the Lord can use us in whatever way He likes. He advised me a few days before dieing:
“You are my last child. Don’t worry if your father will be no more even in your young age. Your mother will be with you till she dies and she will have a very long life. You will have the fortune of protecting your mother”.

It happened. Though our family is big, as per karma, I was taking care of my mother. It happened as said by my father after seeing horoscopes. I myself learnt vedic astrology. When I was analysing my elder brother’s horoscope, I found that he may die within 5 years. I could not believe that as he was strong physically and had no diseases. But, he suddenly had a heart attack and after 6 months, he died.
Similarly, there are so many instances in my life that have proved that VEDIC ASTROLOGY is absolutely true. When I was promotting my company without believing in astrology, I had faced many failures and challenges. Now, after I started to make changes in the set up as per teh astrology, I have been avoiding problems and I am successful now.
So, even the learning and practising the astrology is possible ONLY IF YOU HAVE GOOD KARMA to see it. Otherwise you can not see horoscopes or you can not get a good astrologer.
(3) Another reason to see our horoscope is that we have been given certain freedom by Lord to redefine our course of life. So, if you check your horoscope from a good astrologer, you can use your freedom and act carefully and reduce the serious effects of your negative karma.

Srila prabhupada himself is the best example for this. Prabhupada too supported seeing horoscopes before marriage. When I analysed the horoscope of Srila prabhupada, I found that he would leave his family and fulfil the desires of his Guru. It has been clearly recorded in his horoscope. But, He used that separation for a good cause of creating thousands of devotees. This is the freedom given for us.
So, the problem is with astrologers only, not with astrology which is a satra given as part of vedas. Vedas are from the Lord Himself and hence they can not be wrong.
TAIL PIECE:
(1) Pray to Lord to protect you and chant seriously. Accept whatever happening in life as the wish of Lord and accept them as it is.
(2) If you prepare your mind like this and hold the Lord strongly, you need not see horoscopes and you will get strength from the Lord to face any problems.
(3) Horoscope can be seen only of you have some material goals on earth. if you are seriously on the path of preparing to go back to the Lord and if you do not have any attachments with the people and things of earth, you need not see horoscopes. But, if you like to lead a grahastha life on earth, Srila prabhupada did not oppose seeing horoscopes.
Hope you are clear now about the use of seeing horoscopes though the divorce is decided by Karma.
