Will my offensive chanting benefit me in any way, or, punish me?

“hare krishna prabhu i am chanting nama aparadha will i not get any benefits.if i get benefits. what benefit i will get by chanting nama aparadha? Generally by chanting namabhasa and suddha nama one will get benefits.”
REPLY:
The benefit given by chanting is a spiritual benefit. In general, the benefit of chanting is getting Krishna Himself.
Though the term “benefit” should not be used for chanting, I am using them for understanding and also because you have used so.

Chanting Krishna’s names is like consuming a nectar. Because, Lord’s names are so sweet and transcendental.
Krishna’s Holy names should be chanted to remain connected to Krishna and for pleasing the Lord Himself. Not for any material benefits.
However, chanting offers material benefits also.
How? Read further:
When you chant Lord’s Names or simply Hare Krishna Maha Manthra, Krishna situates Himself on your tongue and it is said that He dances on your tongue in joy.
When you chant Krishna’s Names, you establish a direct link between you and Krishna because there is no difference between Krishna and His Holy Names.

If you follow sincere chanting continuously without breaks for months and years, your material desires will gradually come down.
Your oscillations of mind will also come down gradually.
Therefore, you will start to take the decisions in life after evaluating whether it is right as per the dharma or not. You will avoid longing to become like others. You will accept what Krishna has given to you.
Stage by stage, the positive as well as negative happenings in your life will not affect you. You will start any happening as the mercy of Krishna and you will learn to accept the reactions of your past karma. Therefore, you will earn in an ethical and legal way and with a balanced approach.
These are the most important changes you can feel if you chant sincerely and continuously.

Because of this mindset, your material life will become peaceful and also successful. Here, “successful” means, “successful in such a way that will give a peaceful and comfortable life without adding more negative karma from others”
Others will see you with admiration thinking how this person is this much matured even when he faces tough situations of your life. Because of this, your social status will remarkably improve and you will be very much respected in the society.
Krishna will bring all the honours due for you.
This is the material benefit of chanting.

Sure, even an offensive chanting will not go waste because you are chanting Krishna’s names. Offenses arise because of your accumulated thoughts (samskars) in the present and past lives. It is natural.
However, the offensive chanting will take some more time to give the above benefits because Krishna has to first clear the offensive thoughts from you.
Though you chant with offenses, in due course of time, those offenses will vanish if you resolve to reduce your offensive thoughts while chanting.
If you sincerely desire to come to the stage of pure chanting, your offensive thoughts will gradually come down and then vanish.
Therefore, continue chanting though there are some offenses and sincerely pray to Krishna to free you from the disturbances given to you by the material energy Maya while chanting.
This will give definite results and you will one day come to the stage of pure chanting (Suddha Nama Japa).
Then, your spiritual growth will be very fast and one day, you will get Krishna Himself.
