SWAYAMBHUVA MANU – HISTORY AS A MAHAJANA – DIARY!
(1) There are fourteen Manus in every Kalpa, ie, in one day of Brahma deva.
(2) In every Kalpa, total of fourteen Manus rule the creations.

(3) As per the Srimad Bhagavatham, the fourteen Manus of the currently existing Kalpa are:
Swayambhu Manu,
Svarochisha Manu,
Uttama Manu,
Tapasa Manu,
Raivata Manu,
Chakshusha Manu,
Vaivasvata Manu,
Savarni Manu,
Daksha Savarni Manu,
Brahma Savarni Manu,
Dharma Savarni Manu,
Rudra Savarni Manu,
Deva Savarni Manu (and)
Indra Savarni Manu.

(4) Swayambhuva manu was the first Manu in this kalpa. He was residing in the planet called Brahmavartha whose capital was Barhismati. This city was formed from a hair that fell when Varaha avatar shook his body.
(5) The current manu who is ruling is Vaivasvatha Manu.
(6) Brahma deva created Swayambhuva Manu from his mind.
(7) Swayambuva Manu married Shatarupa.
(8) The names of the three daughters of Swayambhuva Manu are: Akruti, Devahuti and Prasuti.
(9) DEVAHUTI: She married Karthama muni and got TEN children – Nine daughters and a son.

(10) That only son of Devahuti was Kapila.
(11) PRASUTI: She had many children – all are daughters.
(12) AKRUTI: She gave birth to one son and one daughter.
(13) Akruti’s son was YAGNA.
(14) As we have read already, KAPILA DEVA was the incarnation of Vishnu. Similarly, Akruti’s son YAGNA was also the incarnation of Lord Vishnu.
(15) This YAGNA saved his grandparents Swayambhuva Manu and Shatarupa when they were once attacked by demons when they were on a forest visit.
(16) His grandson and Vishnu’s avatar Yagna once took charge as Indra, ie, ruler of heavenly planets.
(17) The following rishis lived during this manvanthra of Swayambhuva Manu: Marici, Atri, Angiras, Pulaha, Kratu, Pulastya and Vasistha.
(18) After the end of Swayambhuva Manu’s manvanthra, Swarochsha Manu took charge.
