How to face if Others are kidding your Krishna Bhakti Practices?
A devotee (Name hidden) asked like this:
“Radhesham g…my parents are scolding for being spiritual as i m in young age. every one are just kidding me for bhakti. my own brother is also hurting me so much. even he is scolding our krishna in front of me. i m helpless g.. may be my problm b silly to u bt i m being hurt soo much daily in course of their scolding what should i do? Plz help me g…”
REPLY:
You have good realizations, but they are not yet realized. That’s all.
Whatever a person tries to do anything productively, the world will speak against it.
If you wear dhoti, the pant wearers will kid you.
If you buy a small car for your small family, those who use big cars will kid you.
If you wear yellow colour salwar, the girls who don’t like yellow colour will kid you.
No end for such kidding in our day to day life.
If you tell others that you are going abroad for job, they will threaten you that there will be no safety in foreign jobs.
However, when you succeed in your foreign career and add fame to your family and area, they will praise you and will also feel for having discouraged you in the past.
If you tell them that you are going to make research in a particular aspect, they will discourage you by telling that you will suffer if you do not go to jobs wasting time in research.

But, if you neglect their views and involve in the research in which you are comfortable, you will be in history while others are doing boring 10 -5 jobs.
Many scientists many centuries ago have been punished by the rulers for creating unrest in the society. Even the people accused them if they introduce any new products.
There were differences between the leaders like Gandhiji and Subhash Chandra Bose, during freedom movements. Gandhiji prefered ahimsa but, Bose preferred military action against British.
There were people who developed jealousy even on their creator Krishna. Eg: Kamsa, Duryodhana.
Thus, Even the Lord Krishna was seen as an enemy by His own creations Duryodhana, Kamsa, etc.
Then, what about you?
If you expect the world to support all your good efforts, it is not going to happen. If you wait for recognition for every achievement, you can never do any work and can never follow anything as wished by you. The people will always be speaking against whatever you do.

Feel pity for those who speak about your following devotion. They are ignorant and unfortunate. They are going to take more and more painful births and deaths. They are going to be deceived by others in their each and every birth.
Whereas you are the one among a small number of fortunate people who have chosen the right path meant for humans – Krishna Consciousness.
Getting Krishna is the purpose of this human life.
So, you are making your life meaningful and worthy by accepting and following Krishna Bhakti. So, you are going to feel the real bliss and you are going to stop further births and deaths.
Above all, you are going back to your eternal and original living place Goloka where you will eternally live with Krishna Himself.
So, why should you worry for the words of such unfortunate people? You have got Krishna Himself. He will always be with you protecting you. Believe this and continue to follow your devotional practices sincerely.
Let them be dwelling in the muddy material life; When you grow and live blissfully under the shield of Krishna, they themselves will come to you enquiring about Krishna.
Let us put a full stop to all these painful events and be eternally with Krishna.
