When I speak about Krishna, my friends poke me. What to do?

When I speak about Krishna, my friends poke me. What to do?

A devotee whose name I have hidden has asked like this:

“Dear Respected Sir,   Accept my pranam. Whenever I share spirituality related posts, my friends mock at me by calling me “BABA”.   I feel like I am disturbing people by sharing such posts. That’s why I read ur posts silently without liking or sharing it.  That does n’t mean all my friends dislike it. A few of my friends also like it.  Bhagawat Geeta also advices not to discuss spirituality with uninterested people who r blind in materialistic life.  That’s why most of the times I do n’t share ur posts even if I want to share. But I send ur posts to some of my friends by message. I have also introduced some of my closest friends to ur page.

Shying to speak about Krishna to others?  Then, how will you get the love of Krishna.  This is shame and this culture is existing ONLY IN INDIA.  Because, no christian shies to speak about Jesus Christ!  A FB page about Jesus Christ has the fan base of more than 3.4 crores.  They love Jesus that much!  A muslim never hesitate to speak about his Holy book.  They PROUDLY and LOUDLY speak about their paths to others!  Have you seen any muslim who hesitates to speak about his holy book?  Only in our country, we hesitate to speak about Krishna.  We, the promoters of spiritual media have to BEG for spreading the pages/ sites about Krishna.  Shameful.

The problem with many people is this:  Krishna should give everything to them.  They will say that they love Krishna like anything.  But, they will ALSO show as MODERN GIRLS/ BOYS outside.  They would fear to speak about Krishna outside because others will consider them outdated.

Without Krishna where we are?  Am I a Purohit or a Resident, full time devotee?  I am also an educated person and an enterprenuer.  Can’t I earn and enjoy life without limits?  Why do I spend hours here?  If I shy to speak about Lord, how can I spread the message about Lord?

Srila prabhupada was dancing and singing about Krishna ALONE in a park in USA.  Did he shy to dance in such a materialistic atmosphere?  If he had hesitated to speak about Krishna, could we assemble here?

Am I fool to speak and write about Krishna spending my valuable time?  Because I consider that this life and this TIME is given by Krishna to me.  If I do not use this rare human life to spread the messages about Lord, I will be wasting my life.  So, I am promoting this page taking majority time from my business.

Do you shy to speak about your parents?  I have even seen some persons who shy to show their aged parents to others because they consider themselves as modern and their parents as outdated.  Why should you hesitate to speak about the person WHO CREATED YOU AND WHO GAVE YOU THIS HUMAN BIRTH MERCIFULLY?

Many others think that decent people should speak only modern things and not about God or disciplinary rules.  They fear, if they speak so, they may not get modern husband or wife.

Thus, so many reasons behind avoiding Krishna in our public life.  Krishna does not lose anything.

Why should a media beg others to spread Krishna?  Is Krishna that much inferior?  If the people fail to support the great contents about Krishna in a media, it is NOT the media’s failure, but, that of the readers.

The people need not be that much DECENT by avoiding speaking about Krishna to others.  Such decency is very offensive and waste.  If we lose a friend because of our speaking about Krishna, we should be happy that we have lost an unwanted friend.  Let us have only those friends who love Krishna.  Others are just burdens.

In my office just behind my head, I have hanged a very big MUKUNDA picture.  Every visitor who comes to meet me HAVE TO SEE that because it will be visible just behind my head.  Why I have done so?  Atleast they will see Krishna and get attracted.  And, they will start discussing about Krishna and I can preach about Krishna to the commercial visitors also.  Thus, I can preach even while working.  Do I shy to show that I am a devotee of Krishna?  Why do you hesitate?

I am very sad after reading your message.  Please think of the points written by me and correct that mindset atleast from today.  If anyone mocks you, request him to be silent or to leave.  Have only positive and understanding people as friends.

Krishna said NOT TO speak about Him to non devotees. This means, you can remove those non devotees from list and speak about Him only to the interested people. Remove those who mock you. Have the friends of same wavelength of willing to discuss about spirituality.

Problem solved.

And, in kaliyuga, only after speaking about Krishna we can know whether he is interested or not. So, we have to first speak to all. If he is not interested, we should stop telling about Krishna to him. If he is interested, let him remain and read.  Or, let him leave.  That’s all.
