Will Dying without Kanthi mala in hospital give Krishna after death?

A woman devotee (Name hidden) asked like this:

“Hare Krishna Prabhuji.. I have a doubt. If a Vaishnava dies in hospital and in hospital they remove tulsi mala then admit the person into the premises. If someone dies in hospital and when the body arrives at home for final rituals no one in family makes that body wear kanthi, tilak aur chant Harinaam rather they are talking and chit chatting. Then also that devotee will not be delivered? Even purohit present there didn’t paid attention that body isn’t wearing tulsi leaves mala or tulsi kanthi mala. Even if that devotee has been serious in chanting min 16 rounds, read scriptures, and follows other limbs of bhakti. Then what will happen to the body? Won’t it get sadgati?”

REPLY:

Why not?
If he had lived as per the recommendations of the scriptures and his guru, he will definitely get Krishna after death.

See, dying wearing Kanthi mala will give Krishna. This is one statement.

This does not mean, that alone is the way to go back to Krishna.

See, it is the special mercy of Krishna to go back to Him. Without His mercy, no one can go back to Krishna.

Dying wearing Kanthi mala will not give Krishna’s kingdom immediately for all.

Wearing Kanthi mala will one day give opportunity to get Krishna.  If our material contamination or karma is more, it will take a few more births. Kanthi mala will give immediate benefit of going back to Krishna if our karmic reactions are less.

If we have plenty of contaminations of karmic reactions from the past lives, we will get a few more births and then go back to Krishna.  The Kanthi mala factor will keep working to make you pure step by step in every birth.

Any advice in the spirituality is conditional.

For example, “Getting a guru will give Krishna. Guru will take us to Krishna.”.  This is a general statement that all of us know.

But, what about a devotee who accepts a guru and also involve in sinful acts without chanting?

That devotee will not go back to Krishna in this birth. He will take one or a few more births and then go back to Krishna.

Till he attains perfection, his guru too will be taking rebirths.  Because, that guru has to make you pure at any cost and in any birth and then take you back to Krishna.

So, accepting guru will one day take us to Krishna. If we sincerely follow the rules of diksha, we can go even in this birth. If we don’t follow the rules of diksha, we will take rebirths and in one of the births, we will go back to Krishna. Guru will also take birth and keep purifying us.

Our guru will not stop taking births till we qualify ourselves go back to Krishna.

Same applies to dying without Kanthi mala.

If we were wearing Kanthi mala for long period, every day will be counted and will be used in our purification process. So, if we die without wearing it, we can still go back to Krishna because of our other sadhanas we did throughout the life.

Wearing Kanthi mala is one among many advices given to the devotees. If we wrongly understand that wearing Kanthi mala alone is sufficient to go back to Krishna, most of the people will start to wear and do any sinful act and at the end of life will go back to Krishna.

So, it is not the meaning. Wearing Kanthi mala will one day ensure our going back to Krishna.

Whether it is after this current birth or next birth or after a few births, depends on our contamination level.

But, wearing Kanthi mala will one day ensure our going back to Krishna similar to a guru taking repeated births to take all his disciples to Krishna.

Wearing Kanthi mala is one of the recommendations to get Krishna earlier. It is not the OPNLY recommendation to get Krishna.

Because of such wrong understandings, the devotees follow devotion to Krishna with some fear in every sadhana. Such a confusion or fear is not necessary.

Hope you are clear whether dying without Kanthi mala in hospital give Krishna after death.
