RUKMINI’s DEEP LOVE FOR KRISHNA

She listened to many stories of Lord Krishna’s bravery and beauty when she was a child. She wished for Lord Krishna forever. She loved Lord Krishna and wanted to marry Him.

Like she wanted Lord Krishna, He also knew about her.

Rukmini’s father wanted her to marry Lord Krishna but her brother Rukmi wanted her to marry Shishupala to make one political deal which used to make her sad.

She wrote a letter to Lord Krishna and handed it to one Brahmin Sunanda. She requested him to travel to Dwarka and hand it over to Lord Krishna.

When Brahmin Sunanda reached the palace of Dwarka Lord Krishna welcomed and worshipped him and kindly asked him the purpose why he had come. He handed the letter to Lord Krishna.

After reading that letter, Krishna took Rukmini in a chariot and eloped.

When Rukmini’s brother Rukmi chased them and fought, Krishna fought back to kill him. Then, as requested by Rukmini to forgive Rukmi, Krishna did not kill him.

Then, Krishna married Rukmini.
