Lord fulfils our wish – Story
Mahavishnu was resting on Adisesha in the ocean of milk.
At that time, a crocodile in the sea jumped up and down, eager to touch His feet and worship Him.
As the water splashed and hit His feet, Adisesha got up and, fearing that the Lord’s sleep would be disturbed, he was chasing the crocodile away without biting him.
The crocodile begged: “I will touch His feet, worship him and leave”.
The crocodile begged him not to stop him, but Adisesha did not agree to it at all.
Adissesha said:
“You are an ordinary crocodile. You do not even deserve to touch His feet.”
Adisesha said proudly that he is lying on my bed and sleeping.
Hearing the views of Adisesha, Lord Mahavishnu smiled softly.
Ages passed.
In the Treta Yuga, Vishnu incarnated as Sri Rama and Adisesha as Lakshmana.
As per the boon that Kaikeyi had asked Dasharatha, Rama set out to live in the forest with Sita and Lakshmana.
He came to the banks of the Ganges.
He thought about how to cross the river that flows on both banks.
Then Kuha arrived there with his boat.
He agreed to take them to the other bank on one condition:
“Sir! I am an ordinary boatman. I make a living from this. A stone got touched by your golden feet and became a woman. If your feet touches my boat and my boat too becomes a woman, what will I do for a living? Therefore, I will wash your feet well. Then you can get into the boat.”
Rama also agreed to wash His feet.
Kuha happily washed Rama’s feet.
Kuha himself was a crocodile in his previous birth.
Then Rama accidentally saw Lakshmana.
At that moment, Sri Rama made both of them remember their previous births.
Lakshmana immediately became angry. Is this insignificant crocodile washing the Lord’s feet in front of me? He looked at Kuha with anger.
Kuha thought “What can you do me now?”
He smiled, took more water and washed the Lord Rama’s feet to quench his desire.
Sri Rama suddenly erased their memories of their previous births and hence both of them became normal.
There is no doubt that the Lord fulfils the wish of a devotee, even if it is an animal.
