Life is an Echo – Story

Life is an Echo – Story

A son and his father were walking in the mountains.

Suddenly, his son falls, hurts himself and screams:

“AAAhhhhhhh!!!”

To his surprise, he hears the voice repeating, somewhere in the mountain:

“AAAhhhhhhh!!!”

Curious, he yells: “Who are you?”

He receives the answer: “Who are you?”

Angered, at the response, he screams: “Coward!”

He receives the answer: “Coward!”

He looks to his father and asks:

“What’s going on?”

The father smiles and says:

“My son, pay attention.”

And then he screams to the mountain:

“I admire you!”

The voice answers: “I admire you!”

Again the boy screams: “You are a champion!”

The voice answers: “You are a champion!”

The boy is surprised, but does not understand.

Then the father explains:

“People call this echo, but really this is life. It gives you back everything you say or Our life is simply a reflection of our actions. If you want more love in the world, create more love in your heart. If you want more competence in your team, improve your competence. This relationship applies to everything, in all aspects of life; Life will give you back everything you have given to it.”

This story is a good example for how our karma works.

Whatever you do thru your thoughts, speech and actions, you get it back with the same pattern and magnitude.

If you think or speak or do  good to others, you are rewarded with good next life, and good peace of mind in this life.

If you think or speak or do ill to others, don’t forget, you will be given miserable next birth and a life deprived of peace in this birth itself.

If the boy was silent, there was no echo. If he speaks positive words, the echo too is positive.

Similarly, if you avoid doing anything, you can avoid positive or negative reactions.

But, One can not avoid actions. So, he can not avoid reactions.

However, you can both do your works and also avoid their reactions.

How?

Simple. Work for Krishna. Instead of working to satisfy your senses, work to satisfy Krishna.

Thus, you can be busy with works and also avoid reactions and also blessed with an eternal life with Krishna.

This is the message of the whole Bhagavad Gita.

That is, work for Krishna.
