Power of Stri Dharma of serving the husband bearing his flaws!

Power of Stri Dharma of serving the husband bearing his flaws!

Stri dharma is very powerful. Many women suffer in their married life because of torturing husband.

Some divorce them and escape from the tortures in this birth. It may be postponed to the next birth.

Some others bear those tortures. This clears their karma and hence the women increase their spiritual power.

Such women can do wonders!

It can make wonders – even making the situation to reverse and change the whole trend IN DUE COURSE OF TIME.

We have seen many women complaining about the behavior of their husbands. Many women even dare to part their husbands for their irresponsible behaviour, torture, etc.

In this case, their karma is still pending as they have escaped from the tortures. So, their purification from karma gets postponed to the next birth.

Nowadays, divorces happen even for silly reasons.

But, if the women bear these tortures and clearing that karma following stri dharma to husband with an unshakable faith on Krishna, it will make wonders.

This happened to the sister of a great acharya himself who lived for Krishna!

Let us see the example of the sister of Srila Prabhupada:

Pisima Mataji,  Srila Prabhupada’s sister and his God-sister too.

She was married to a non-devotee, who became a rogue, meat eater, he drank alcohol, he was a woman-hunter, spending money on gambling, etc.

So if today’s many women find only one of these bad things in their husbands, today’s women would have divorced him.

Her husband had all the bad habits.

He was a non-devotee also.

Pisima Mataji came to Srila Prabhupada and asked what should she do in this situation.

He advised her to do what she learned from her mother- to serve her husband, and to pray to Sri Krishna for the best interest of her husband. And not to argue with her husband.

S.P advised so because a woman should never argue with a drunken man, because he can even kill her.

Srila Prabhupada told her:

“Remember those Deities that we worshiped when we were children?”

He said, “I have them here, I’ll give them. Worship Them, Radha-Govinda, and you keep praying to Them, and They’ll help you.”

He didn’t advise her to divorce her husband, or to complain to various women’s ministries about him, etc.

For material problem, he gave a spiritual solution.

She did the way Srila Prabhupada advised her.

She didn’t criticize her husband.

She didn’t argue with him.

She did her prescribed duties, ie, her stri-dharma with the idea to please Sri Krishna through her service to the husband.

(A Devotee wife and Non Devotee husband – How to manage? READ HERE!)

It is not a material thing to follow stri dharma, because  a woman who follows stri dharma properly, she makes direct spiritual advancement, as a brahmacari makes by serving his guru.

When Krishna gets pleased, He alone can change the husband. No wife can change her husband.

Krishna was pleased with Pisima mataji’s service.

Her husband came to her after sometime, begged her for forgiveness, admitting that he was so bad and realizing what a good wife he has, a wife who always works in his best interest.

He ended up worshiping her. “This woman is serving me so faithfully, and serving the Deities so faithfully, and she wants nothing but the best for me, and she’s praying to Krishna for me.”

He acknowledged that and changed all his ways.

That is the power of a woman who follows patience and doing her prescribed duty, ie, Stri-dharma,  serving even her unqualified husband that clears her karma and also please Sri Krishna and make her spiritually more powerful.

That is why, Indian Scriptures did not talk about the today’s common matter of DIVORCE! The Scriptures want us to clear our karma in this birth itself.  This will take us closer to Krishna in this birth itself.
