Why Learning the Scriptures from the bonafide sources necessary?

Why Learning the Scriptures from the bonafide sources necessary?

A girl devotee (Name hidden) asked like this:

“Hare Krishna prabhu ji. Srila Prabhupada ji sharply condemns getting the knowledge from unverified sources. Please explain why it is so. Thank u.”

REPLY:

If anyone has been learning the Scriptures from non-bonafide sources, there are chances that he will fall down miserably.

To avoid your fall down, Srila Prabhupada has recommended learning the Scriptures from the bonafide sources only.

How fall down happens?

Because, you will be misguided by them and hence you will deprive of true knowledge.

(Three types of Dhaan (Donations) as said by Krishna in Gita? How to do it? READ HERE!)

They create their own concepts that are contrary to the original scriptures. They use all their imagination to CREATE a new meaning for the contents of the scriptures.

By learning from them,  all your past spiritual developments go in vein.

Let us see an example.

Krishna has clearly spoken about the man getting rebirth as lower species in many places.

I give the following three slokas as an example:

16-19:

Those who are envious and mischievous, who are the lowest among men, I perpetually cast into the ocean of material existence, into various demoniac species of life.

(Doubt whether Bhagavad Gita was spoken by man or God? READ HERE!)

Prabhupada writes in his Purport:  “In the Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam, Third Canto, it is stated that an individual soul, after his death, is put into the womb of a mother where he gets a particular type of body under the supervision of superior power. Therefore in the material existence we find so many species of life – animals, insects, men, and so on.”

 16-20:

Attaining repeated birth amongst the species of demoniac life, O son of Kuntī, such persons can never approach Me. Gradually they sink down to the most abominable type of existence.

 Prabhupada writes in his Purport:

It is clearly stated that the demoniac people, life after life, are put into the wombs of similar demons, and, not achieving the mercy of the Supreme Lord, they go down and down, so that at last they achieve bodies like those of cats, dogs and hogs.

In Bhagavad Gita (Ch-8, Verse -6), Krishna has clearly stated that one will get different births according to his thoughts at the time of death:

“Whatever state of being one remembers when he quits his body, O son of Kuntī, that state he will attain without fail.”

Now, Let us come to the point.

There is a Popular preacher who is publishing Bhagavad Gita with his own purports.

He also gives answers to the questions of a few devotees in internet media.

He had written in his media with a blunder mistake of the basic concept itself.

Now, let us read what that preacher/ Gita Author WRONGLY answered the questioner:

His reply is this:

“You have asked, Is it true that human beings are sometimes reborn as animals or trees because of bad karma? Krishna answer this question for you…

Krishna says “I fling the crooked beings into demoniac wombs”…. What does that mean?

Let us take an example. If a student fails in 10th standard do you think it makes sense to put the student in 3rd standard because he failed in 10th standard?

(Original Guru Parampara of Mahabharatha & Bhagavatham! READ HERE!)

If you were the teacher of the student who failed in 10th standard what would you do?

You will obviously tell the student to repeat the 10th standard. You will not tell him to go to the 3rd standard right… God does the same thing in a much better fashion…. He gives you an opportunity to come back again in a human form to have better experiences….

So logically it is impossible that you will be reborn as animals or trees…It does not make any sense.. God is a superior being with superior intelligence.

The truth is – you will never be demoted…

What you are now you can never lose …

You will always gain a higher body and mind from what you have now….

When Krishna talks of “demoniac wombs” he means a human body with a snake mind, a jackal mind , a devilish attitude.. so the reference is to devilish attitude not to devilish animal bodies.. You can never degrade yourself… that is impossible.. When scriptures say something in regard to being reborn as animals or trees you have to understand it with broad mind and not literally as animals and trees…

It is impossible for human beings to become animals.. just as it is impossible for a good teacher to put a student who has failed in 10th back to 3rd standard and we are assuming here that god is wise:)”

(TEN PRIMARY SUBJECT MATTERS IN BHAGAVATHAM! READ HERE!)

This was his reply.

According to him, though a person acts like a dog, he will take birth as human.

This is totally contrary to the views of Krishna in B.G 8-6.

This is the miserable state of preaching in the internet.

Now, tell me, what will be the result if you hear from those who do not come under the bonafide Guru Parampara and produce their own concepts contrary to the views of Krishna?

Fall down will be imminent for such followers who are learning the Scriptures from unverified sources.

So, Learn through the genuine members of a bonafide sampradhaya.

Learning the Scriptures from the bonafide sources is always safe.
