How to earn well to be used only for serving Krishna?

“Abhishek Kushwala” asked like this:

Amount of wealth is not fixed as per karma. How am i supposed to struggle, suffer and strive to earn some good amount of money not for myself but for the service of lord. How do i know whether i have that fortune or potential of money making in this birth or not if i want to earn solely for shri Krishna?

REPLY:

How your earnings in this life will be?

For this, you will have two choices:

(i) Earning to lead a materialistic life, and

(ii) Earning to serve Krishna and also to manage only your basic, essential needs of life without luxury.

(1) EARNING TO LEAD A MATERIALISTIC LIFE

This means, earning to fulfil your own needs and comforts when you are not involved in the devotional practices.  Your sole aim is to be rich and get respected by others.

Here, your earnings in your current life is determined by your karma of previous births.

One will have good or bad financial status according to his karma.

There is no fixation of how much you will earn every month/ day.

Then, what are fixed by your karmic reactions?

The following things are fixed by the karma:

Whether you will have (i) insufficient money, or, (ii) sufficient money to manage life, or, (iii) excessive earnings more than your requirement, or, (iv) enormous wealth that will be sufficient for many generation.

If a person had taken birth in the year 1960, earning even Rs,50 per month would have been very bog earning because they got bundle of grains for just Rupee One.

If a person takes birth in the year 2020, even the monthly earning of Rs.30,000 will be insufficient for him, because, he may have to spend Rs.15,000 for a decent house in a city. Then, his other expenses like child’s education that will consume rest of his earnings. Then, loan.

That is why I said that karma does not decide how much amount one earns.  It just decides the aspects said above.

Let us take a few examples:

(i) Mark Zukenberg started just a communication netwok to be used within his college. He did not plan to cover entire world at that time.  But, the facebook became the number one social media platform making Mark the youngest earner of billions of dollars. He earns more than his needs.

Why?  Because, in his previous birth, he has helped thousands of people spending most of his earnings and even by borrowing from others.  His unlimited helps to the suffering people has made him the billionaire in dollars.

(ii) Same will be the reason for the wealth of Warren, Bill Gates, Mukesh Ambani, and all other billionairs and crorepatis all over the world.

(iii) They had sacrificed their own comforts and image to help others. So, they got a very good life with plenty of wealth now.

(iv) Today’s beggars were the misers in their previous birth and they did not help even though they had plenty of extra money.

(v) IMPORTANT:    Remember, if you do not help the real needy people in this birth, you will suffer for money in the next birth.  Give more and get more. This is the secret of karma network.

(vi) If a person is just able to manage his food and shelter and is unable to have some luxurious life, that means, in his previous birth, he has insufficiently helped others that did not solve their problem though he could help more and more.

For example, you are earning Rs.one lakh per month in India.  This is a decent earning in the year 2019.  If one of your genuinely suffering relative comes to you and asks a loan of Rs.one lakh to manage the emergency surgery expenses for his heart, you help just Rs.10,000 though you have an excessive deposit of Rs.25 lakhs in your account that does not have any immediate needs.

Now, he has to find many more donors and hence he may die without a surgery.  So, we have helped him, but, not upto our capacity.

If a person earns Rs.10,000 a month and spends Rs.1000 every month for supporting the really needy people, it is great because he spends 10% of his earnings for needy people.

He earns Rs.One lakh. His close and genuine relatives requests him Rs.one lakh for a life saving heart surgery. He has more than 25 times of excessive funds in his account.  He spared just 0.3% for that relative.

Such insufficient support does not help him in time and he may have to die without performing the surgery in time.

Such moderate misers though they helped to some extent, takes birth in a family that can manage just btheir food and shelter, but they will not be able to fulfil their luxurious needs and they will have no good savings.

So, one should spare a decent/ useful level of their earnings to help the needy.

2-10% of earnings in this problematic kaliyuga, can be considered a good and decent support for the needy people, brahmanas, vaishnavas, devotional practices, etc (Though acharyas have recommended more, we may try to atleast do this level).  You can take all the advantages by supporting our website preaching service by going to this page.

By helping others financially, we will never come down in our status and the reactions to our past karma will get moderated and we will face the growth in our own financial status in future after the moderation of our past karma. Such reduction of our old karma is possible only in the case of financial matters.  In personal issues, we can not reduce our bad karma by doing good karma.

So, this is an opportunity for all to reduce their past negative karma by helping others.

Now, let us read what will happen in the case of spiritual purposes.

(2) EARNING TO SERVE KRISHNA AND TO OUR BASIC NEEDS

If you like to earn to serve the Lord, if your objective is genuine without any selfish motives, Krishna will make all the arrangements to provide you the required inputs to support the services to Krishna.

In case you like to just support other vaishnavas who are serving the Lord, you do not require any qualification to develop the desire to support the vaishnavas and the Lord will provide the required inputs according to your level of efforts applied to earn.

However, if you like to preach the words of Krishna on your own, you should first read well, learn something from senior devotees, accept the systems of a bonafide sampradhaya because such authority will invite the blessings of all the senior vaishnavas.  If we start to preach without proper learning, it may create a wrong set of devotees with insufficient or corrupt practice and knowledge.

First learn and teach the learnt concepts to others.  Be careful in not offending the vaishnavas in any stage or do not aim to bypass the people from whom you learnt and give all the credits to them.

If you serve Krishna like this, He will provide the required inputs.

This is how Krishna is giving all the inputs to our site.  Since our aim is pure and selfless, He is taking care of the going of our website making it highly successful in the internet.  Our sincere efforts will never go waste.

Therefore, just pray to Krishna to provide the inputs that will be utilized only for His service and also for your basic living expenses.  He will do all the possible support.

This is how I am managing my services to Krishna.
