SIX CHARACTERISTICS OF PURE DEVOTIONAL SERVICE!
The Six characteristics of Pure devotional service are described by Rupa Gosvami with evidences from different scriptures.
He states that there are six characteristics of pure devotional service, which are as follows:
(1) PURE DEVOTIONAL SERVICE BRINGS IMMEDIATE RELIEF FROM ALL KINDS OF MATERIAL DISTRESS:
One’s all the sinful acts are burnt when he performs devotional service to Krishna.

(2) PURE DEVOTIONAL SERVICE IS THE BEGINNING OF ALL AUSPICIOUSNESS:
A person engaged in Krsna consciousness, acting in devotional service, can develop all the good qualities that are generally found in the demigods. Thus Pure devotional service makes one auspicious.
(3) PURE DEVOTIONAL SERVICE AUTOMATICALLY PUTS ONE IN TRANSCENDENTAL PLEASURE:
When one practices Pure devotion, he enjoys the eternal transcendental pleasure and he loses interest in enjoying temporary and painful pleasures.
(4) PURE DEVOTIONAL SERVICE IS RARELY ACHIEVED:
Yes, unless One becomes blessed by the dust of the lotus feet of a pure devotee as Spiritual master, Pure devotional service is not achievable.

(5) THOSE IN PURE DEVOTIONAL SERVICE DERIDE EVEN THE CONCEPTION OF LIBERATION:
A pure devotee of Krishna never likes to become one with the Supreme Lord and attain mukti because it can never be compared to the pleasure of serving Krishna in His kingdom.
(6) PURE DEVOTIONAL SERVICE IS THE ONLY MEANS TO ATTRACT KRSNA:
Krsna is all-attractive, but pure devotional service attracts even Him. This means that pure devotional service is even transcendentally stronger than Krsna Himself, because it is Krsna’s internal potency.
