* When Jagannatha Dasa Babaji was living in Vrindavan and a town namely Amalajorha, Srila Bhakti Vinoda Thakura visited and got devotional instructions from him.

*Later, Srila Bhaktivinoda Thakura established his Prappana-Ashram at Amalajorha.

* Then, Sri Jagannatha Dasa Babaji went to Surabhi-kunja in Godrumadwipa.

* Sri Jagannatha Das Babaji revealed many lost holy places in Mayapur, like Yogapith, Shrivasa Angana, etc,.

* When he came upon the holy place of Mahaprabhu’s birth he danced.

* His bhajan kutir and samadhi mandir are still there at Nadia.

* He ordered Bhaktivinoda Thakura to build a hut so devotees could stay near his bhajan kutir.  Bhaktivinoda did so.

* Since Srila Bhaktisiddhanta Saraswati Thakura was an expert in Vedic astrology, Sri Babaji called him when he was aged just 12 and requested to prepare a vaishnava calender. Srila Bhakti Siddhanta Sarasvati too did so that made Babaji veruy happy.

* Even when he was nearly 135 years old, he went on preaching the message of Shri Chaitanya throughout the world.

* Babaji would not even insult the dogs that came to eat from his plate when he was eating saying that those dogs too were the residents of holy dham.

* Once, when the donations for his service exceeded Rs.200, he ordered to buy sweets and distribute to all the cows in Navadvip.

* Sri Jagannatha Dasa Babaji usually did not give alms (biksha).  When one Sri Gaura Hari Dasa was fasting for three days to get his alms, Babaji cut a piece of his Kaupina (underwear) and gave as alm instructing him to give it as alm to another beggar.  Thus, he indicated that Sri Gaura Hari Dasa should control his senses as a saint.

* Babaji considered preaching Bhagavatham for living is the greatest offence and they are equal to those who sell their bodies for money. Those who hear from them will also go to hell, he said.

* He followed the practice of living six months in Navadvip and six in Vraja mandal.

* When he begged for a roti from a sweeper of Vrindavan, the people thought he became mad to accept roti from such an unclean person. Babaji responded that every dust of Vrindavan is surcharged with Krishna Prema and the sweeper who cleans the dust regularly should be more pure than anyone else.

* Some instructions of Sri Jagannatha Das Babaji (given for his disciples):

(1) “You must avoid women, men who associate with women, or with a man who in any way associates with a man who associates with a woman.

(2) “To realize the supreme goal of life you must repeat Harinama regularly and steadfastly.

(3) “Never forget Gaura who is more merciful and benevolent than Krishna.

(4) “Krishna is the avatara of Dvapara-yuga. Gaura is the Kali-yuga avatar.

* Sri Jagannatha Dasa Babaji lived for 144 years.
