Science behind the dissolution of Lord Ganapathi Clay statues in sea or river!
We have seen so many Ganapathi/ Ganesh/ Vinayaga statues made up of clay are dissolved in sea or river after 11 days of Ganapathi Puja!
There is science and good purpose behind every ritual in Indian culture.
Firstly, it is the display of Ganapathi to the people of a town to have good darshan of Lord Ganapathi.

Ganapathi himself comes to the devotees during the Ganesh Chaturthi Processions.
This is like the Rath Yathra procession of Lord Vishnu/ Krishna / Jagannatha.
Ganapathi is said to be an important deity in Indian Culture.
I analyzed the horoscope of Lord Ganapati. There was an interesting aspect.
In the horoscope of Lord ganapathi, you can see weak Venus and strong Mercury.
This shows that he does not have and like to have lust given by venus, but, he likes to have more and more Gyan/ Knowledge given by strong Mercury .
So, Ganapati, according to his horoscope is very great in Gyan and he can bless the devotees with Gyan/ knowledge.

GANAPATHI – DEVOTEE OF KRISHNA
\Yes. Ganapathi is the great devotee of Krishna and hence he was called to write Mahabharatha when it was dictated by Vyasa deva.
Lord Brahma Prays in Brahma Samhita (5-50):
yat-pada-pallava-yugam vinidhaya kumbha-
dvandve pranama-samaye sa ganadhirajah
vighnan vihantum alam asya jagat-trayasya
govindam adi-purusham tam aham bhajami
I adore the primeval Lord Govinda, whose lotus feet are always held by Ganesha upon the pair of tumuli protruding from his elephant head in order to obtain power for his function of destroying all the obstacles on the path of progress of the three worlds. – Prayers of Lord Brahma
SCIENCE BEHIND DISSOLVING GANAPATHI CLAY STATUES IN SEA/ RIVER
(i) So many herbs including turmeric are added while making clay idols. These herbs helps the river or sea animals/ fish, etc as a healthy food to grow in large numbers.
(ii) The Corrosion of sand is more in this season of September-october in the rivers and seas. So, to compensate the loss of sand in a particular place, soil made Ganapathi statues are added to the rivers and seas. Less soil will not allow the water to be absorbed by the earth and hence the ground water level comes down. So, more and more soil are added to the rivers.
Wow, our ancestors have thought everything for the betterment of the society in a scientific angle.
But, now days, it is reported that many chemicals are also added while making the statues that pollute the rivers and seas. And there are many issues/ quarrls also in SHOWING THEIR LOVE THAT CREATES DISTURBANCES TO THE PEOPLE. . This is also the trend of kali yuga. Lord Ganapathi will not be happy about it. Please do the festival really simple and non-toxic.
