How to protect ourselves from Mayavadic Philosophy?
(This Post has the replies to two additional questions also)
A devotee (Name hidden) asked this Question:
“hare krishna dandawat pranam prabhu ji how to escape from mayawadis philoshophy like ………….. and his followers? and how to deal with them?? plz help me??plz help me,my mind is disturbed due to this.”
REPLY:
You can’t escape. They are not criminals. They are preaching another concept for those people who are destined to follow such concepts.
Only the people who are attaching themselves with the plenty of philosophies get confused with different concepts.
The multiple philosophies will always exist in this world because every concept attracts a section of people.
What is the reason for the existence of multiple gods in Indian culture?
There are so many types of people with different preferences acccording to the mix of three gunas (modes). Therefore, if there is a single god, it will not attract all those different types of people.
Some may not like to follow a reverred bhava but a liberal close approach; Lord Ganesha will satisfy them.
Some may not like to approach the God in a friendly or loving approach and they may prefer reverred bhava only; Lord Narayana or Vishnu will satisfy them.
Some may prefer to love God as their intimate lover; Krishna will satisfy them.
Some may prefer aggressive forms of Gods; Kali devi will satisfy them.
I can write many preferences like this. Since I write this just for understanding, let me stop with this.
So, there should be different forms of gods for different bhavas and natures of the people.
In the spirituality, if any concept has strict rules, the takers/ followers will be less.
If the rules are less and if the followers have freedom to do anything as they wish, the takers will be more.
Similarly, there are 18 puranas that glorify different gods. Eg: Vishnu Purana, Siva Purana, Ganapati Purana, Keshava Patelayu puirana, etc. very purana will attract a particular types of people and they will be read by the followers having different modes (Gunas).

Different sampradhayas are followed by the people according to their bhava and guna in their life.
For example, Gaudiya vaishnavam is followed if a devotee has the desire to worship the Supreme Lord in His topmost and confidential lila form – as Radha Krishna.
SRI Vaishnavam encourages revered way of approaching the supreme Lord.
There are some ‘out of sampradhaya’ mutts, cults and spiritual bodies that promote any personality as God himself that is the offensive way of devotion.
In this world now, Mayavadic concepts and pure devotion concepts are existing as two primary choices for different people.
As far as the religions are concerned, there are many religions that are mostly embraced by birth.
Therefore, there is no point of escaping from them.
You have to take a philosophy in which you are given opportunity to take part naturally. Do not bother about hundreds of concepts available in this world.

The Supreme Person Paramathma is sitting within the heart as a witness to all your thoughts and actions. If he observes that you like to get mayavadic concepts, he directs you there. If you like Krishna Himself and nothing else, He directs you to the good vaishnavas to learn about Krishna.
Therefore, the choice of our ‘way of life’ depends on our inner desire that is read by Krishna within the heart. Then, we are directed to the places accordingly.
It is endless and will increase in numbers year after year as more and more new concepts are created in this world.
Fortunate people like us will desire and get the topmost concept that can take them to the ultimate destination of Krishna.
Those followers of mayavadic concepts will come to the pure devotion stage by stage after some births.
So, we need not discourage those who preach mayavadic concepts now. There will be many takers for them also. Let us just give the nectar of Krishna to all. One fine day, they will become good devotees of Krishna.
So, Let multiple concepts exist for the benefit of multiple types of people. Single concept will not suit all people. If they are fortunate, they will one day come to Krishna. Let us keep spreading the glories of Krishna everywhere.
That’s all we can do. Let us do it.
