GLORIES OF SRI NITYANANDA PRABHU!

GLORIES OF SRI NITYANANDA PRABHU!
(1) Sri Caitanya Caritamrta mangalacaran:

I offer my respectful obeisances unto Sri Krsna Caitanya and Lord Nityananda, who are like the sun and moon. They have arisen simultaneously on the horizon of Gauda to dissipate the darkness of ignorance and thus wonderfully bestow benediction upon all.

May Sri Nityananda Rama be the object of my constant remembrance. Sankarsana, Sesa Naga and the Visnus who lie on the Karana Ocean, Garbha Ocean and ocean of milk are His plenary portions and the portions of His plenary portions.

Then he prays to Lord Nityananda. He says, ha ha prabhu, nityananda premananda-sukhi: “My dear Lord Nityananda, You are always joyful in spiritual bliss. Since You always appear very happy, I have come to You because I am most unhappy. If You kindly put Your glance over me, I may also become happy.”

brajendra-nandana jei, saci-suta hoilo sei,
balarama hoilo nitai dina-hino jata chilo, hari-name uddharilo,
tara saksi jagai madhai

Lord Krsna, who is the son of the King of Vraja, became the son of Saci (Lord Caitanya), and Balarama became Nitai. The holy name delivered all those souls who were lowly and wretched. The two sinners Jagai and Madhai are evidence of this.

(2)  Caitanya Caritamruta – Adi lila 1.7:
“May Sri Nityananda Rama be the object of my constant remembrance. Sankarsana, Sesa Naga and the Visnus who lie on the Karana Ocean, Garbha Ocean and Ocean of Milk are His plenary portions and the portions of His plenary portions.”
(3) Caitanya Caritamruta – Adi lila 1.8:
“I surrender unto the lotus feet of Sri Nityananda Rama, who is known as Sankarsana in the midst of the catur-vyuha [consisting of Vasudeva, Sankarsana, Pradyumna and Aniruddha]. He possesses full opulences and resides in Vaikunthaloka, far beyond the material creation.”
(4) Caitanya Caritamruta – Adi lila 1.9:
“I offer my full obeisances unto the feet of Sri Nityananda Rama, whose partial representation called Karanadakasayi Visnu, lying on the Karana Ocean, is the original Purusa, the master of the illusory energy, and the shelter of all the universes.”
(5) Caitanya Caritamruta – Adi lila 1.10:
“I offer my full obeisances unto the feet of Sri Nityananda Rama, a partial part of whom is Garbhodakasayi Visnu. From the navel of Garbhodakasayi Visnu sprouts the lotus that is the birthplace of Brahma, the engineer of the universe. The stem of that lotus is the resting place of the multitude of planets.”
(6) Caitanya Caritamruta – Adi lila 1.11:

“I offer my respectful obeisances unto the feet of Sri Nityananda Rama, whose secondary part is the Visnu lying in the Ocean of Milk. That Ksirodakasayi Visnu is the Supersoul of all living entities and the maintainer of all the universes. Sesa Naga is His further subpart” (C.C.Adi 1.11)

(7) Lord Nityananda is Balarama Himself — the first expansion of Krishna.

“O my dear Kali-yuga living being, please come here. Give up all of your crooked ways. Just take this pure love of Lord Gauränga.” Saying this, Lord Nityänanda calls again and again. But these unfortunate people do not accept the invitation. Why don’t people respect such unalloyed love? Considering very diligently, just see how all living entities are making so many arrangements for happiness. Some argue, and some practice yoga within this material world.”(8) Srila Narottama Dasa Thakura:

“Without the mercy of Lord Nityananda, no one can attain Sri Sri Radha and Krishna. The ultimate goal of life is the attainment of krishna-prema. This is possible only by the mercy of sadhu-guru. Sri Nityananda Prabhu is the sum total of all gurus (samashti-guru). He is guru-tattva. All individual gurus (vyashti) are representations of Sri Nityananda.
But Nityananda does not directly instruct in the confidential service of Krishna. Srimati Radhika is the guru of the inner circle of the servants of Krsna. Srimati Radhika, however, accepts the offer of service of only those souls who are specially favored by Nityananda and are deemed by Him to be fit for Her service. There is, therefore, a most intimate relationship between the function of Nityananda and that of Srimati Radhika, which is at once supplementary to and inclusive of the former.

Sri Nityananda is our Adhi Guru. Let us get His mercy by chanting the holy names of Krishna:

Hare Krishna, Hare Krishna, Krishna Krishna Hare Hare, Hare Rama, Hare Rama, Rama Rama Hare Hare.
