Clever Teacher & Thief – Story

Clever Teacher & Thief – Story

A respected school teacher had recently retired.

He and his wife were living in an apartment in Bhopal.

For the festival of Dussehra, they decided to go to their hometown.

Before leaving for their hometown, the teacher thought to himself:

“What if a thief enters the house while we are away? Even if there is no money in the house, he can break the cupboards and create chaos everywhere!”

So, to prevent his house from being damaged, he kept ₹1000 and a letter on the table.

Letter:

“Dear unknown thief! My heartfelt congratulations on your attempt to enter my house!  But, Unfortunately,I am a middle-class man, living only on my pension.

So, there are no valuables, no money here.

I am sorry that your hard work and precious time will be wasted.

Therefore, as a token of respect for your efforts, please accept this small amount.

Furthermore, to help you become more successful in your profession (theft), I will give you some tips below.

The Master’s advice reads as follows:

On the 8th floor – lives a corrupt minister.

On the 7th floor – lives a big real estate dealer.

On the 6th floor – lives a cooperative bank chairman.

On the 5th floor – lives a wealthy businessman, a miser.

On the 4th floor – lives a famous “skilled” lawyer.

On the 3rd floor – lives a corrupt politician.

These people have mountains of gold and money.  Your “business success” won’t bother them at all!  Because, they won’t even file a police complaint!

-Retired teacher.”

After Dussehra, when the master returned home..

He found a big bag on the table.

Inside was ₹10 lakh cash!

And a letter.

“Respected Guruji.  Thank you very much for your guidance and teachings! I followed your advice. My work was successful! I am very happy. I am leaving this small amount as a token of gratitude. I must continue to receive your blessings and wisdom in the future.
Your disciple – a thief”

The master read it and laughed…

“Oh! I thought I had retired. But, it seems my teaching work is still going on.”
