Protect the Relationships – Story
After the demise of a jeweler, his family suffered very bad. They have even reached a situation where there is not enough money to eat.
One day the jeweler’s wife called her son and gave a sapphire necklace in his hand …
“Son, take this and go to your uncle’s shop. Sell this to him and ask us to give us some money.”
The son took that necklace.
He reached his uncle’s shop.
His uncle checked that necklace completely.
He told him … “My dear son -in -law, tell your mother! The market is very bad now. If she sells this a few days later, she will get a good price.”
Then for the family expenses, he gave him some money.
He told: “Come to the shop tomorrow and sit with me and learn the job.”
So, From the next day, the boy started going to the shop every day. He began to learn there. He learnt how to test diamonds and stones?
Soon, he became an expert in analyzing the diamond.
Even from a long distance, the people came to him to examine the diamond.
One day his uncle said: “Son -in -law, Bring that necklace from your mother now! Tell her … the market situation is good now. You get a good price.”
When he received the necklace from his mother, the plaintiff examined him.
He found it was a fake. His uncle was a great expert, why didn’t he tell us this earlier? He could not understand that.
He left the necklace at home and returned to the shop.
Uncle asked: “Didn’t you bring the necklace?”
He said: “Uncle this is fake. But why did you hide this fact from me?”
Then his uncle said:
“When you first brought the necklace to me, If I had told you that it was fake, You may think that I am deliberately saying this. Because, then
You were in a miserable situation. You did not know about testing diamonds. Today you have the knowledge of testing the diamonds yourself. So, you will be aware that this necklace is truly fake.
At that time, it seemed to me that it was more important to protect the relationship than to tell the truth.
Without any kind of knowledge, we see in this world, and think that all
we see are wrong.
We have a great impact with misconceptions on our relationships. Then it leads to the breakdown.
