Marriage Only for progeny, No Contraceptive & abortion -Why should one marry?
A male devotee (Name hidden) asked like this:
“Hare Krishna. I am 27 old unmarried man, I connect to Krishna councious by knowing 4 regulative principle I follow 3 but 4 is very difficult for me, that is illicit sex. Although I am not involved physically with anyone but desire for copulation comes sometimes and I suffer with the senses. In scripture mastrubation is also consider as sin.
In 7:11 bhagwat gita it is said sex only for procreation not for recreation. But question is how one forget this pleasure. In ancient times couple has more than 5 or more children but in this age it is not possible for a woman to conceive 5 times and also difficult to maintain financially. So maximum couple has one or two children.
In scripture it is said that once wife conceive no sex for at least 1.5 years. Is it possible for a newly married couple. Living inside a room beneath a roof.
Sila Prabhupada advice about natural avoid not artificially life time spacing but it is not work 100 percent. If conceived, one cannot abort the child. Bcz it is sin so there is a fear for more children . If one use contraceptive it is sin if keep relation naturally without contraception fear of conceive. Please advice what one should do. Hare Krishna”

You ask: Marriage Only for progeny. I should not use contraceptives. I should have sex only to get children. I should get ten or more children if I like to have multiple times of sex. If I like to avoid child now but my wife gets conceived, she should not abort that baby. No wastage of our energy also.
All options are denied for me. Then why should I marry a girl to mate only once or twice to get only one child and remain like a brahmachari throughout the life seeing a beautiful wife.

This is your question.
Seems to be genuine in material angle.
But, these advices are not for becoming a materially successful person.
See, all these standards seem to be cruel only for those who like to enjoy this material life and take repeated births.
But, Initiated devotional life is to prepare and practice to go back to Krishna.
There are no restrictions for those who are prepared to take repeated births and deaths again and again in future.
These ‘Marriage Only for progeny’ regulations are meant only for those who like to stop further births and deaths and get an eternal life in Krishna’s kingdom.
By following these regulations, you get the topmost gift of Krishna Himself who created everything.

When Dr.APJ Abdul Kalam was worried for not getting selected for pilot post, Sri Sivananda Sarasvati told him that god might have given birth to him even to produce those planes and hence why should he worry for not getting the pilot post?
When you can get Krishna Himself, why this nonsense of 5 minute sex gains importance?
Krishna has clearly said in Bhagavad Gita:
BG 8.5:
“Whoever quits his body remembering Me alone at once attains My nature. Of this there is no doubt” (or “comes to Me”).
BG 8.6:
“Whatever state of being one remembers when he quits his body, O son of Kunti, that state he will attain without fail”.
BG 8.7:
“Therefore, always remember Me, and fight. With your mind and intellect surrendered to Me, you will certainly attain Me; of this there is no doubt”.
Krishna says that those who die thinking of him will attain Him.
Who can think of Krishna while dying?
Only those who are thinking of Krishna throughout his life can think of Krishna during the time of death.
If one shows much interest in having sexual pleasures he can’t think of Krishna at the time of death. Instead, he will cry for leaving those who gave pleasures to him, at the time of death. That is why the advice of having Marriage Only for progeny.
So, be clear about your goal:
(i) Do you like to go back to Krishna at the earliest possible?
(ii) Are you convinced that these pleasures are just temporary and finally end with the pain of bondage?
(iii) Are you convinced that adding more and more material pleasures and children give repeated four pains of material life such as births, diseases, old age and death?
(iv) Are you aware that you should stage by stage reduce the usage of these material pleasures, material relations and think more of Krishna that will make you think of Krishna at the time of death?
(v) Do you have no problem in getting further births that come with the freebies of old age, diseases and also death? Are you aware that the rebirth can even be among animals, birds and other species?
If your choice is the first four options, reduce mating by yourself without any excuses.
If your option is fifth one, enjoy as much as you like. No one will question. But don’t take initiation without convincing with the first four points.
There is nothing special in that nonsense of sex for which the people are making crimes if they don’t get it. Most of the Cinemas, Serials, etc magnify this five minute nonsense. After five minutes the boy and girl come to normal life with pains. Again after the sunset, they like to have that five minute nonsense.
Thus, the cycle continues births after births.
If the same five minute nonsense is used to produce the devotional children, same becomes five minutes Service to get children to serve Krishna.
This is what advised by Krishna and many acharyas.
This is not a new advice. This advice is the basic advice for all the brahmanas by birth and by initiation by sampradhayas for all the 1000s of years.
Why such a less importance for sex in devotional way of life?
Because there is nothing in sex pleasures except some five minutes of short term pleasure like rubbing a boil on your skin.
Only because the media have given too much of exposure for this matter, it has increased the curiosity among the boys and girls.
In Krishna‘s creations, what is the purpose of Sex?
It is an arrangement by Krishna for transferring the male cells into the womb of a female. The process takes about 5-10 minutes and involves some short term pleasure given by Krishna to make the people to involve in procreation.
So, that pleasure is a trap.
You are worried for not having the option to have pleasure without getting children.
Without reading my golden posts about chanting, having sathsangha, honouring prasadam and reading the scriptures, you are asking these questions.
If you sincerely involve in chanting, having sathsangha, honouring prasadam and reading the scriptures, you will never have the urge for sex.
Until you involve in chanting, having sathsangha, honouring prasadam and reading the scriptures, there is no guarantee for having an eternal life with Krishna and even having a peaceful life on earth.
So, first decide the goal of your life and then choose your way of life as per the options given by me above.
My choice is:
ONLY KRISHNA! LIVING ONLY TO GET THE MERCY OF KRISHNA! NOTHING ELSE!
