Be Grateful to God – Story
An 80-year-old man underwent a heart surgery.
The operation/ surgery went well.
The hospital staff handed him a bill for 8 lakh rupees.
When he saw the bill, he could not control his tears.
Seeing the old man’s pitiful tears, the doctor said:
“Don’t cry, I will reduce the bill as much as I can.”
See what the old man said to that:
“I don’t mind. Even if the bill is 10 lakhs, I am ready to pay.”
He continued:
But the Lord who has protected my heart for 80 years without any problems has not asked for a single rupee bill. For all these days, I never realized this, but now when I think about it, I realize it. Tears are flowing. A bill for 8 lakhs for just three hours of your protection.”
He said:
“My dear God. I cried thinking of your mercy and love.”
“God’s blessings are great. Oh God, We are ungrateful.”
“We live on this earth. The only one who protects us without any expectations is God, the one who is born of love. If we realize how many people do not get the life we have, let us go to the temple every day just to thank God”
Just imagine how much we should pay to the God for protecting our every organ for many decades. Do we show our gratitude ever?
We know our value only when we go to hospital for any major health issues. Till that we do not realize the value of the organs and everything He provides. Not only organs, He provides food throughout our lifetime.
So, unless we worship Him and reciprocate Him in every possible way, that means, we are selfish people.
Let us be Grateful to God for what he has blessed us.
