Love is everywhere.  The whole world is filled with love.  Now, I will take you to a small island where no one lives. You alone should live there.

Can you feel love if you are alone?

Then? You need another person if you like to show your love.  That person should be more powerful than you. Usually, we like to love only those who are more powerful than us.  Eg:  Loving actors, politicians, writers, etc.

So, you can feel love only if you are with other powerful persons, not like a solitary reaper.  If a person says that he loves you even without meeting you and is living abroad throughout his life, can you love him till you die?

So, meeting is needed atleast occasionally to develop, maintain and grow our love with a person.

Krishna is everywhere, NOT AS A PERSON, BUT AS PARAMATHMA. He is even within your heart as Paramathma.  You do not realize Him because your heart is filled with material attachments.  How could these dusts enter the heart where Krishna lives?  Because you gave more importance for dusts than Krishna.  So, the dust occupied the space.

So, we need to send the dust out from your heart that are the effects of maya.  So, you need to give more importance for a person who is more powerful than maya.  Who is that person?

Only Krishna is more powerful than maya because maya is also a servant of Krishna.

So, we have to love Krishna to drive out maya.  So, we have to develop love on Krishna.

To love and serve Krishna, we have to associate with Him EITHER IN PERSON or THROUGH ANY OTHER MEANS.

WHAT ARE ANY OTHER MEANS?

By reading books on Krishna, you can associate with Him.

Or, by worshipping the deities of Krishna, you can associate with Him.

Hence, these temples.  The deities installed there are not just stones, but, ARCHA AVATARS of Krishna.  Krishna has mercifully come into these deities.

So, temples help us to focus our attention exclusively towards Lord.  In our houses, we may have diversion of mind,.  But, In temples, we can concentrate on Lord alone.

So, temples help us to develop love on Lord.

For example, if you are a member or visitor of ISKCON, you will feel closeness with the devotees and deities there ONLY IF you are visiting there in some intervals.

If you do not visit a temple for atleast one year, your devotion may get diluted.  So, we need sathsangha to maintain love on Lord.

In every temple where the rituals are followed strictly, the vibration of Lord exists that proves that Lord is living there as living deities.

For example, if you go to Vrindavan, Tirumala Tirupati, Guruvayur, Uduppi, Srirangam, etc, you can feel the vibration of Lord even while entering into the town.

Such vibrations can make so many positive changes in our devotional status.

In addition to that the potency of God is installed in the deities through manthras once in 12 years.  This will also positively impact our devotional development. The power of the God will be concentrated in a temple in which the rituals are performed perfectly.

There are some other reasons like attracting cosmic radiations inside the temple that energizes the devotees.

So, we need temple to maintain and develop love on Krishna.

These are the most important reasons for the requirement of temples.
