Hare Krishna,, I have a problem that nowadays while praying or while reading books I keep on wondering as feels that kanha is not listening to me? I cannot concentrate. What to do? As I feel disconnected from Him, I don’t want to go far from God.. Please tell me and please tell me that what to do and what book I can read related to kanha?

I feel low. I feel Krishna has left me. He saved me in every way a man can be saved. I have good education. I get food, but deep down I’m lonely and empty now without him, I feel he doesn’t listen to me any more. I have lost people in being honest. I don’t know what is dharma anymore. Will he come back ?

This kind of feeling disconnected from Krishna is existing among many devotees.  This is a kind of emotional mindset.  These kinds of thoughts originate because, we always expect positive happenings in life.

We do not have full faith in the fact that Krishna is listening and showing His mercy all the 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and 365 days an year.

How do you feel that you are disconnected from Krishna and Krishna is not listening to you?  Since Krishna is within our hearts, He can know even our thoughts.

Krishna as Paramathma is watching the Jeevathma enjoying the material life from within his hearts. He is waiting for the jeevathma to think of Him seriously deserting his material attachments.

As I have been writing again and again, the cause for all our problems is not Krishna, but, we ourselves.  Krishna never wants us to suffer in this material world. Krishna is eagerly expecting our return to Him.

However, we did something in our past lives and we are facing their reactions in this birth. Therefore, we have to humbly accept that we have offended in our past lives and hence we should not wish to escape from their reactions.

Following the devotion putting a condition to Krishna that He should give only happiness, is not the right way of devotion.

However, if we stop offending and sinning atleast now, we can get the mercy of Krishna and He may consider moderating the reactions of our past karma.  Therefore, if we like to get the reduction in the severity of our past karma, we need to surrender to Krishna wholeheartedly and stop further offenses/sins.

In case, we like to totally escape from our past karmic reactions, in addition to surrendering to Krishna, WE SHOULD GET A MIND LIKE THAT OF A TRUE SANYASI DETACHING FROM MATERIAL AFFAIRS.

Therefore, continue your worship and services to Krishna and develop material detachment.  This will enable you to get the suspension from facing the severe reactions of past karma.

This is my all time advice to everyone.  There are no short-cuts like those given by the popular yogis who are deceiving the people.  Being the follower of the writings of genuine acharyas, I can not even think of short cuts.

Remember, Srila Prabhupada too advised what I have written above in his own words and he never created false hope in the minds of the devotees by preaching ineffective and colourful short cuts.

Therefore, (i) Patiently face the reactions of karma, (ii) develop material detachment and (iii) develop attachment to Krishna stage by stage.

Krishna is always with us. He never leaves. When we stop the expectations and desert attachments, He is realized by us.  When we develop too much of attachments and expectations, Krishna is not realized by us.

Now you FEEL AS IF KRISHNA HAS LEFT YOU.  Because, YOUR MIND IS FILLED WITH EXPECTATIONS AND ATTACHMENTS.

Hope you are clear about your feeling disconnected from Krishna.
