KRISHNA’S DATE OF BIRTH

Two dates are given.

(i) Month of Shravana, around July 19th 3227 BC in a prison cell in Mathura city to Vasudeva and Devaki.

(ii) Another record shows His date of birth as 18.06.3229 BC.

(It is said that Krishna appeared at mid-night, Sravana Krishna Astami. Ashtami ended in evening on 17th June itself and it was Navami, but Rohini nakshatra at the time of birth)

THREE TYPES OF LILAS DURING KRISHNA AVATAR

(1) Vraja Lila – Happened for 11 years 6 months – child in Vrindavan.
(2) Mathura Lila – 10 years 6 months – Teenager after killing kamsa who was His maternal uncle)
(3) Dwaraka Lila – 105 years 3 months As the king of Dvaraka.

(1) KRISHNA’S VRAJA LILA DATES

0 to 3 years:

Lived in the neighboring town of Gokula with Nanda and Yashoda, performed childhood leelas, including killing of demoness Putana, Trinivatra etc.

3 to 7 years:

Started living in Vrindavan. Killing of Demons Bakasura, Aghasura and Dhanuka.

7-10 years:

Lifting of Govardhan hill, played Rasa leelas with Gopis, Invited for a wrestling match by Kansa which results in his killing.

Date of the lifting of Lifting of Govardhana Hill by Krishna:  At the night, 28.08.3222 BC.

(2) KRISHNA’S MADHURA LILA DATES

14.12.3218 BC:

Krishna killed Kamsa on 14.12.3218 BC that was a Siva Ratri that marks the start of His his Mathura Lila at age of 11 years 6 months.

10 – 28 years:

Lived in Mathura and protected it from many Demons. Took the lessons in all the sixty four arts from Muni Sandeepani and perfected all the arts.

(2) KRISHNA’S DVARAKA LILA DATES

29 – 126 years:

Established kingdom in the city of Dwarka with Brother Balram. Married Rukmini and 16000+ other princesses. Helped Pandavas win the battle of Mahabharata, explains teachings to Arjuna later written down by Rishi Vyasadev as Bhagavad Gita.

17.09.3154 BC: 

The Fight between Bhima and Jarasandha started and lasted for 14 days and nights.

11.02,3153 BC:

Krishna killed Sisupala at the age of 75.8,during Rajasuya Yaga in front of all kings.

02.05.3153 BC: 

Pandavas lost game of dice to Kauravas and left for exile in forest.

07.05.3140 BC:

Pandavas completed their 12 years of forest exile and 1 year of hidden exile period.

15.05.3140 BC: 

Pandavas appeared in the court of Virada King.

November 3140 BC: 

Kurukshetra war commenced.

At the time of war, Lord Krishna was 89 years old and Arjuna was 88 years old.

05.12.3140 BC: 

Bhishma deva revealed Vishnu Sahasra Namam to Yudhishtir and left his body.

05.02.3139 BC:

Asvametha Yaga was started by Yudhishtira.

23.01.3102 BC (Evening): 

Krishna was shot by an arrow of a hunter on his feet on the Thursday evening.

126th YEAR – Krishna leaves!

24.01.3102 BC (02.27.AM, before sunrise):  Krishna left for His kingdom of Goloka. 

Krishna was on this planet for 126 years, 8 months.
After Krishna left, the Yadavas fought among themselves and died except Krishna’s grandson Vajranabha.
